Spacious, Fully Equipped 1 Bedroom Accommodation in Village Centre, Sleeps 2

The Old Post Office Suite is situated right on the village green in the beautiful village of Exford, in the heart of Exmoor National Park.

The large one-bedroom suite is situated in what is quite rightly known as the Heart of Exmoor, being centrally located in the middle of the National Park. It is the perfect place for exploring this beautiful region of the South West of England, including The Two Moors Way walk (which crosses the moor only six miles away), the nearby Coleridge Way, and not forgetting the South West Coast Path.

Along with the local countryside with its beautiful views of the sweeping open moorland and valleys with hidden rivers, we're also within easy reach of the stunning coastline of North Devon with its superb coastal walks. You may see a herd of the famous Exmoor Ponies on your travels or if you are really lucky some of our famous red deer or even a herd of Highland cattle.

The area is famously known for its hunting, horse riding, and shooting activities, however, it is also a major centre for walkers, ramblers, bird spotters, and cyclists, situated within the 693 square kilometers of the National Park.

Exmoor is now officially recognised as an International Dark Sky Reserve, one of only eight in the UK, and the sights within our starlight sky on a crisp clear night are absolutely breathtaking. You feel like you can just reach out and touch them!

The Old Post Office stands right on the village green and is in an outstanding position for easy access to the moorland, it's the perfect place for peaceful relaxation but also being within easy reach of numerous special places to visit. See the Local Area page for details.

The beautifully converted rooms offer modern and spacious living accommodation with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

All modern conveniences are provided including central heating, Wi-Fi and broadband, a large Plasma TV with Freesat and a Roku box to access Netflix, etc. for films along with a DVD player.  A selection of board games along with a compendium of games.

The kitchen area has a table with two chairs, sink, combination microwave/oven, air fryer, fridge, toaster, kettle, Nespresso Coffee machine, cafetiere, and all normal kitchen utensils.

Our village shop has now reopened after a major renovation and is stocking all your immediate daily needs, including groceries, bread, milk, newspapers, postcards, etc., and a great range of small gifts. They are open from 7.30 am to 6 pm Mon-Sat and 9.00 am - 12.30 Sun. The nearest petrol station/supermarket is in Wheddon Cross which is five miles away.

We are lucky to have two great Inns selling a large selection of local beers, wines, and ciders along with excellent food, either as bar snacks or in their restaurants.
